Why am I being charged a $35 fee to pay my rent? (HINT RENT PAYMENT SHOULD BE FREE)

If you pay your rent via ECHECK on your portal it is FREE!

If you pay your rent via credit card there is a charge that the credit card processor charges and we can’t do anything about. It is convenient when things are tight but there is a cost to that and it is $35 as of this article publish date. Please also remember that even debit cards attached to checking accounts are considered credit cards when paying as a VISA, MasterCard, or Discover.
