Do you inspect my home? Why should there be inspections? What is a “zip code” inspection?

Many owners want to know about home inspections and if we inspect their home.

Do you inspect our home?

Our in house maintenance team is trained to keep an eye out for issues when they go into your home.

However we provide and recommend walk through home inspections for a discounted price (see pricing http://propertymanagementoh.com/pricing).

We follow a simple paper checklist and take pictures of issues only.  Upon completing the checklist we send you a picture of the paper checklist and pictures with summary of any issues and recommendation for maintenance follow up.

This inspection is designed to highlight major issues that you need to know about and is not a 4 hour 800 item checklist marathon that you might get from a professional inspector when purchasing a home.

Things this inspection covers are:

  1. Furnace filter cleanliness
  2. Water problems
    1. Under sinks in bathrooms and kitchens
    2. Seeping from foundation
    3. Via roofs
  3. Potential damage done by tenants
  4. Potential illegal activity

Because we do these inspections in batches grouped by zip code we call these zip code inspections and have in our schedule to make it through every house two times per year.

If you ask us to do an inspection at a specific time then this will not be considered a zip code inspection and normally will be the cost of a service call.
